Ecodesign Engineer H/F        

 

Eco-design is an integrated approach in Alstom's product development activities and represents an important contributor to the Group's CSR strategy.

It is led by a dedicated management team and an extensive international network of Ecodesign engineers, associated with the Rolling-Stock, Components and Services (RSC/Services) and Digital & Integrated System activities. The approach extends from R&D to integration into customer projects. It is also based on cross-functional methodological and tool development activities.

Within the Ecodesign Métier RSC / Services team based in Saint Ouen, your main missions will consist of:

Manage the implementation of Ecodesign deliverables as part of projects related to the site,

 

1) Ensure the support of Ecodesign engineers of the Rolling-Stock Components (RSC) network:

  • Carry out improvement and transformation activities of the reference framework and practices, identified in the Ecodesign roadmap for the RSC perimeter
  • Support and compile the needs reported by the network as part of the management of offers and projects and participate in the identification of priorities for improvement of the Ecodesign RSC reference framework
  • Contribute directly to the development of methods and tools aimed at optimizing the realization of ecodesign deliverables
  • Participate in the animation of the network through periodic global and regional exchanges, propose ways of improving exchanges
  • Contribute to communication, awareness and training needs

 

2- Contribute to the realization of environmental assessments of products, according to different methods including Life Cycle Assessment (ISO 14040)

 

 

3- Contribute to the integration of Ecodesign into R&D activities:

  • Support the deployment of the Ecodesign challenges defined for the platforms
  • Identify and integrate Ecodesign objectives into R&D projects
  • Propose methods and tools for implementing ecocesign's requirements and objectives, adapted to the specificities of R&D projects
  • Carry out/manage Ecodesign studies, in particular Environmental Performance Assessments of solutions
  • Track achievement KPIs

 

For all activities, follow the associated budgets/expenses.

 

The position reports to the RSC/Services Business Manager.

 

 

 

Profile:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Industrial/mechanical/materials/environmental engineering with knowledge of design/industrial production principles
  • Significant experience in the implementation of ecodesign in an industrial setting (minimum 2 years)
  • Robust knowledge of environmental assessment practices for products including LCA
     Good knowledge of LCA software will be a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Project management, budgets and deliverables
  • State-of-the-art work and ability to take a step back
  • Autonomy and initiative, strength of proposal
  • Facilitation and presentation skills, pedagogy, synthesis
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional English Written / Oral
