Within Alstom, you will be integrated into the teams of the Finance Transformation department which is part of the finance function under the authority of the CFO.

In the finance department, the Reporting Center team is in charge of reporting processes and the administration of the Reporting, Planning & Consolidation tools SAP BFC (Teranga) for consolidation and SAP BW IP (Polaris) for budget planning.

Concretely, the Reporting Center's main missions are to provide the finance community with robust, ergonomic applications that meet the needs of the business in terms of collecting, processing and reporting financial information.

The Polaris & Teranga applications live in a constantly evolving Finance and IT world. They must constantly be improved and integrated into their ecosystem in order to facilitate the flow and exchange of information. Many development projects are undertaken for this purpose.

Finally, in a post-acquisition context of Bombardier Transportation, the Reporting Center is at the heart of the transformation and integration of Consolidation, Reporting, Cost allocation and budgeting applications, but also of the redefinition and harmonization of needs and finance processes with a strong impact on change management.

 

Thus, within the Reporting Center, you will be under the responsibility of the Head of Reporting Center and you will participate in the following missions:

  • Functionally administer the Planning Group solution (Polaris)
    • Management of access rights to the application
    • Preparation of reports Administration of the tool during budget closings
    • Support to analysts in improving the quality of the data collected
  • Participate in the functional developments of the solution
    • Collect and challenge the business needs of our internal customers by leading workshops
    • Design the solution (functional specifications)
    • Carry out POCs (prototyping) and test the concepts
    • Manage and participate in the solution's testing and acceptance campaigns
    • Conduct training and change management support sessions
    • Assist in the start-up of delivered projects
    • Support users post-start-up
    • Manage development projects (PMO) and challenge the solutions proposed by the development team
    • Coordinate Polaris developments (planning) with those of Teranga (consolidation)
    • Monitor Polaris incoming and outgoing flows, improve the interfacing and synthesis of flows with Teranga
  • Contribute and provide support to ongoing projects
    • RPA project to automate platform administration processes
    • Orchestra project to manage finance master data and approval workflows
    • Project to harmonize the management of access rights to finance tools
  • Animation of the finance community :
    • Digitize training and build a "Finance tool" certification course
    • Manage a sharepoint space dedicated to the Polaris Finance community
    • Produce a monthly newsletter and support the writing of budget reporting instructions
    • Animate the finance community and key users, provide user support via chat/forum, facilitate training sessions/Q&A

 

Required profile:

  • Experienced profile (5 - 7 years minimum) graduate engineer, university or top-ranking business school
  • Comfortable in written and spoken English
  • Appetite for information systems Experience AMOA and AMOE of EPM tools (ideally SAP BW IP and SAP BFC)
  • Knowledge of accounting/management control
  • Mastery of the MS Office pack
  • Autonomous, rigorous and structured
  • Taste for teamwork

 

You will join a young and dynamic team, in an international environment, and will participate in large-scale projects within the new Alstom group.
