Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Ethics and Compliance (E&C) expertise in a cutting-edge, dynamic field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team of professionals dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards.
You will join the E&C team for the AMECA region (Africa, Middle East and Central Asia), reporting to the Regional Compliance Officer, and be part of a global E&C community at Alstom. You will be based in Saint-Ouen, France.
In terms of expertise and responsibilities, the position will support the Regional Compliance Officer, AMECA region, in deploying the company’s compliance program at the regional level in the following main areas:
- Integrity Program deployment (Code of Ethics, Alstom instructions and policies, training programs, bribery risk mapping and Alert Procedure);
- Support for the Compliance Process & Due Diligence activities;
- Strong involvement in communicating E&C messages at all levels of the regional organization;
- Strong involvement in promoting an Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, as well as integrity, culture;
- Support for the company’s internal audits and ISO certification efforts;
- Support for E&C litigation and investigations / compliance program enforcement & discipline;
- E&C Ambassadors Network.
In addition to the above, you will be expected to support compliance matters in the broadest sense, which may include topics as diverse as trade sanctions, export control regulations, human rights, data privacy, and competition law.

- Graduate Law degree or equivalent in your home jurisdiction, and/or a degree in a related field well-suited for E&C matters (e.g., forensic investigations, audit).
- Bar membership certification or general awareness of criminal law and proceedings is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the compliance or law field or a field well-suited for E&C matters.
- Experience in an international business environment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, as you will work in an international environment.
- Open-minded, problem-solving, and intellectually flexible.
- Ability to act as a role model for others in a domain where the “tone from the top” is crucial.
- Strong risk analysis and reasoning abilities.
- Eager to keep legal knowledge up to date and translate it into effective compliance policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge others constructively.
- Capable of serving as a role model for ethical conduct and compliance leadership.
- Ability to interact effectively with peers at headquarters, country, or regional levels.
Performance measurements
Objectives, targets, and performance measurements are defined on a yearly basis in line with the company’s financial targets, the Chief Compliance Officer objectives for the E&C community, and the General Counsel objectives for the Legal & Compliance Function.
