Could you be the full-time Digital Train Chief Engineer in Saint-Ouen we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in shaping the future of Software-defined Trains by developing functional features that enhance efficiency, enable quicker deployment, and ensure high adaptability throughout the product lifecycle. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Innovation, Rolling Stock, Services, and Signalling), lead technical activities for Remote Train Operations (RTO) solutions, and support the integration of these solutions into Alstom’s technical referential and product portfolio.

 

You’ll specifically take care of consolidating technical documentation and references, but also ensuring product performance during contract execution.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Identifying, developing, and maintaining functional features of Software-defined Trains

  • Supporting product strategy setup

  • Providing technical support for product development and competitiveness

  • Appropriating Remote Driving and RTO designs developed by the Innovation team

  • Driving technical activities during the tender phase

  • Ensuring accountability for product performance during contract execution


All about you

  • Engineer degree (Master’s level) in a relevant field

  • At least 15 years of professional experience

  • Solid background in Rolling Stock and/or System Engineering

  • Strong technical knowledge and awareness of new technologies

  • Proven ability to convince and influence stakeholders

  • Ability to synthesize, simplify, and communicate complex technical concepts

  • Decision-making skills with a drive to achieve results within defined timeframes (QCD)

  • Agility to work effectively in a constantly evolving environment

  • Experience in multicultural environments

  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
