Purpose of the Job

Support the Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) and act as co-owner of the engineering scope for the Radio Block Centre (RBC) within the LGV+ programme.Ensure the delivery and technical consistency of the RBC solution (application, platform and parameterisation), in line with Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance (QCDP) objectives, while interfacing with the customer and development centre.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the RBC engineering scope

    • Ensure completeness and consistency of the RBC technical solution (application, platform, parameterisation)
    • Manage functional specifications (route setting, locking principles)
  • Lead the engineering delivery of the RBC scope

    • Build and maintain the RBC engineering delivery plan
    • Monitor progress, risks and priorities
    • Report to the Project Engineering Manager
  • Manage changes and requirements

    • Pilot change requests (CRs) and backlog
    • Integrate customer change requests into the engineering scope
    • Ensure alignment between requirements, design and delivered solution
  • Ensure stakeholder coordination

    • Interface with customer engineering teams (SNCF DT2i)
    • Coordinate with RBC development centre (Charleroi, Belgium)
    • Collaborate with system engineering teams and other subsystems
  • Support Project Engineering Management

    • Contribute to technical decisions and arbitration
    • Prepare inputs for project reviews and governance
    • Support overall engineering coordination

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway engineering
  • Experience in a leadership role (System Leader, Technical Leader, or similar)
  • Strong experience in railway signalling systems, preferably:
    • European Train Control System (ETCS)
    • Radio Block Centre (RBC)

Technical Competencies

  • Good knowledge of system engineering and V-cycle development
  • Confirmed knowledge of RBC systems and environment
  • Experience in:
    • Technical scope management
    • Engineering delivery management
    • Multi-interface system coordination
