We are looking for a Configuration and Change management for the project Metro Toulouse, position based in Saint-Ouen and part of the Rolling Stock organization. You will be part of a dedicated team, dedicated to tenders and projects. 


Purpose of the job:

  • Keep the Train Configuration under control during the whole execution of the Project.
  • Manage the Change process in the Project. 


Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure application of ALSTOM configuration and change procedures and instructions.
  • Prepare the Project Configuration and Change management plan. Issue Configuration & Change key indicators.
  • Train Configuration management:
    • Ensure that coherent applicable Technical Configuration(s) are defined by Engineering; Propose list of parts to be followed in configuration.
    • Ensure that applicable Configuration(s) are cascaded and committed by all stakeholders (including external suppliers).
    • Control applied Configurations (though documentation, physical audit,…); report gaps and propose action plans.
  • Change Management:
    • Set up, plan and organize the Configuration & Change Board (CCB) meetings; establish CCB reports.
    • Ensure that Change Requests presented in CCB are fully documented from Quality, Cost and Planning standpoint.
    • Ensure that actions defined in CCB are performed in due time and that decisions are enforced (especially regarding serial application of changes and retrofit).
    • Monitor Changes implementation in the trains.
  • Within Project Core Team:
    • Coordinate and federate all the project actors regarding configuration and changes.
    • Ensure rigorous traceability and reporting.
    • Respond to project priorities or urgencies.
    • Train other team members (to the Configuration & Change processes or tools)


 Reporting and position in the organization

  • Member of Project Core Team
  • Functional reporting to the Project Chief of Development during the development, then to the Project Chief of Operation during serial production.
  • Hierarchical reporting to the site Projects Director.


your profile : 


  • Graduate of Engineering University or equivalent
  • Project management background level depending on the complexity of the Project/Program
  • Good knowledge of railway products and systems
  • Knowledge of change & configuration processes way of working


Competencies & Skills 

  • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders (including client when needed; including other ALSTOM units/countries).
  • Systematic, rigorous and organised, able to sort out different matters at concurrent time period.
  • Ability to detect side effects of ongoing changes to alert the relevant people.
