The ESG & sustainability reporting manager, directly reporting to the Sustainability & CSR Director in charge of Reporting and Green Finance, plays a significant role in managing sustainability and CSR activities through annual reporting processes, in compliance with extra-financial regulations and coordinating with risks management. Additionally, contributes to Sustainability and ESG action plan and external positioning of Alstom.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Support company transition to CSRD through double materiality assessment (DMA), support contributors adaptation to new requirements, report evolution anticipation
  • Prepare annual sustainability & CSR report (CSRD) with internal key contributors (Procurement, E&C, HR, EHS, Innovation, Governance, Eco-design…) deliver it in due time (according to tight milestones) in line with double materiality assessment results and mandatory data point. This document is reviewed and validated by a Third party. Once this sustainability report published, prepare with communication team CSR brochure and internet website update accordingly
  • Lead preparation of answers to investors questionnaires (Dow Jones Sustainability Index, CDP, Moodys, MSCI, Sustainalytics and Ecovadis are the main one) using data of sustainability report and Universal Registration Document (URD). Gather answers of contributors ( including traceability of evidence/source). Consolidate responses and exchange with rating agencies analysts upon request. Prepare communication on results externally and feedback internally by Pilar/topics and support action plan based on results.
  • Support Biodiversity strategy  as pilar of CSR roadmap
  • Keep alignment with risks team to share a common assessment of risks, opportunities and impacts of the company with transversal tools.
  • Support internal and external communication: internal newsletter, internet website, press release, ...
  • Participate in creating awareness on CSR roles and activities across business and regions. Contribute to e-learning module creation.
  • Carry out regulations watch & benchmark (of suppliers, peers, customers) about ESG rating, EU regulations, new ESG reporting standards (CSRD, ISSB, …)
  • Participate in conferences, forum

 

Background : 

  • Bachelor degree required. Sustainability management, environmental sciences, public affairs, legal or commercial fields are possible.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental sciences, legal, communication or marketing.

 

Competencies & skills :

  • Fluent in English and French (written + oral)
  • Strong Project Management skills and respect to deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and work with multiple stakeholders
  • Rigor in data collection, analysis and management
  • Good understanding of European ESG legislation
  • Autonomy
