BIM Central CDE Manager

 

Purpose of the Job

In the BIM central team and in relationship with all the other stakeholders (IS&T, S/W editors / users...), he takes part in the definition and development of Alstom BIM Ref Sol and is responsible for validation of any update or variation of the CDE (Common Data Environment) definition with respect to this Reference  Solution.

He is the entry point for clarifying all admin matters regarding Alstom’s CDE Reference Solution.

Missions

Performance Measurement/KPI’s

  • BIM Reference Solution efficiency and compliance with ISO 19650 international Norm.
  • Performance of the CDE functionalities in line with the Employers’ Information Requirements and with Alstom BIM requirements.

 

Responsibilities

 

Definition of the Common Data Environment Reference solution:

 

Participates in the definition of the architecture of the CDE ref solution

  • Participates in the definition of Alstom CDE processes and procedures
  • Tests, integrates and validates any S/W update or new function
  • Participates in the definition of Alstom CDE processes and procedures
  • Ensures coordination with IT teams, means and procedures in terms of BIM Reference Solution integration within Alstom general IT architecture
  • Ensures and enhances reliability and efficiency of the Common Data Environment definition (including on cybersecurity aspects)
  • Develops or supports development of new functions or applications
  • Proposes solutions and improvements in order to mitigate any limitation or constraint generated by the other off the shelf S/W solutions the CDE has to interface with

 

QCD and reporting

    • Periodically reports the status of the CDE  Reference Solution towards the hierarchy
    • Tracks and reports all issues or troubleshooting regarding CDE definition,
    • Records and manages all REX (Return of Experience) regarding the definition or use of the Reference Solution CDE

 

Job Specifications

Knowledge & Experience :

  • Must have In-depth working knowledge of Projectwise and Windows environments,
  • working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software. Familiarity with Revit, AECOSim, Navigator, NavisWorks, BIM 360 and ACC, Aconex, Mezzoteam…   is appreciated.
  • Must have a 5+ year experience in BIM process management, and knowledge of data bases management
  • Must have Knowledge of mechanical design (Experience in Trackworks, Power supply / catenary, Civil works… is appreciated).
  • Possess the ability to work within a team as well as independently
  • Possess Excellent communications skills both written and oral
  • Possess Excellent organisational skills and rigor
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
