Purpose of the job:

The International Treasury team, in coordination with Regional Treasury Network (NAM, LAM, APAC, AEMCA, Europe), manages financial risk and secures liquidity centrally and at each unit level with the purpose of distributing adequate resources and expertise to each and every unit :

  • Participating in the execution of intercompany or external funding of subsidiaries and managing the central treasury intercompany loan book
  • Optimizing affiliates balance sheet (including working capital Initiatives) and streamlining of cash flows repatriation
  • Supporting the team in maintaining high level of Internal Control
  • Supporting Local and Regional Treasurers across the globe in optimizing access to cash, banking facilities and in aligning to group policies

 

The international treasury apprentice will support the team to :

  • Enforce compliance of Corporate Treasury Instructions,
  • Contribute to the improvement of Central Treasury tools and processes to optimize efficiency & reliability,
  • Control over month end position of KPIs with affiliates ensuring a solid basis for decision making
  • Contribute to financial results budget/forecast process
  • Analyze data available to maintain a rationalized banking landscape together with Cash Management team,
  • Participate to the review of balance sheets of affiliates notably as part of the dividend campaign policy,
  • Perform analysis of funding requirements submitted by affiliates and monitor the approval process
  • Participate to any ad-hoc projects as required by management

 

Educational Requirements 

  • University degree, Finance / Business school (MBA, Chartered Accountant…) with  a strong accounting, banking or treasury academic background
  • Desirable: Ability to discern key trends influencing balance sheet & cash flows & capacity to challenge those trends

 

Competencies & Skills 

  • Financial culture with basics in taxes & finance law, able to communicate and interact effectively with accounting, legal, text and specialised Treasury functions
  • Understanding of cash flow generation cycles & accounting mechanism from Profit & loss to Balance Sheet & Cash Flows
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookup,…)
