As an integral part of the Treasury & Financing team, the Group Bonds & Guarantee (B&G) team is responsible for the high-level governance and strategic management of bonding facilities and off-balance-sheet commitments, in particular:
- Negotiation & establishment of bonding facilities with financial institutions,
- Management of Group off balance sheet commitments, involving:

- early contractual assessment and advisory of bonding‑related Terms & Conditions during tender and contract phases,
- legal review and drafting of contractual clauses, and
- negotiation of financial security texts with financial institutions, beneficiaries and external partners to ensure feasibility, cost efficiency and controlled risk exposure,

- Structuring, issuance and management of Financial and Commercial Parent Company Guarantees,
- Within the annual DoA of Alstom Holdings, engages the Group balance sheet and represents Treasury B&G competence & expertise in trade and project business,
- Imposes and controls the Group governance instructions for Guarantees management to Regions and business units,
- Trains relevant internal stakeholders on bonds, guarantees and Parent Company Guarantees.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Digital tools & SaaS support (core mission)
Your main mission will be to support the B&G team in the deployment, enhancement and day‑to‑day use of the Group Bonds & Guarantees SaaS solution, used worldwide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the continuous improvement of the Bonds & Guarantees SaaS solution and its deployment across Regions, in coordination with country treasury teams and local banks,
- Support the testing, validation and potential deployment of new solutions related to bank connectivity and digital guarantees management,
- Monitor and manage Freshdesk tickets in coordination with the B&G team and the SaaS vendor,
- Act as an interface with the SaaS development team and IS&T support team to ensure user requirements and change requests are properly understood and processed,
- Review release notes and communicate relevant enhancements to the B&G team and key users,
- Perform data cleansing activities and prepare data upload and extraction files from the B&G SaaS when required,
- Support country key users with functional queries related to the B&G SaaS, and coordinate with IS&T when technical support is required,
- Assist country treasurers in implementing guarantee dematerialisation with local banks, including organisation of trainings and coordination with banks and system providers,
- Support the connection between B&G SaaS data and business intelligence / reporting tools.
Guarantees management support
- Assist the B&G team in reviewing and processing guarantee requests based on defined B&G processes and governance rules,
- Contribute to guarantees analysis, monitoring and data quality activities,
- Depending on experience and skills, support guarantee structuring discussions with project teams and banks alongside senior B&G managers.
Reporting & data analysis development
In coordination with the B&G team and Treasury stakeholders, you will also contribute to the development of management reporting, notably:
- Support extraction, cleansing and preparation of data from the Bonds & Guarantees SaaS solution,
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Qlik dashboards for:
- HQ Management (VP Treasury & Financing, CFO),
- Regional Finance and Treasury teams, covering their Bonds & Guarantees portfolio, exposure and future needs,
- Support analysis related to B&G fees, fee calculation and internal invoicing,
- Collect business requirements and document reporting specifications,
- Assist in testing, validating and improving reports and dashboards,
- Maintain documentation of reporting processes and methodologies and collect user feedback for continuous improvement.
PROFILE
We are looking for a motivated Apprentice eager to develop knowledge in Trade Finance and Treasury, with a strong interest in digital tools, data analysis and processes. Previous exposure to technology, data analytics or project management is appreciated but not mandatory.
To be considered for this role, the candidate needs to be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes.
Education
Business School, University or Engineering background with a focus on Finance, International Trade or Business Management, and a strong interest in developing experience in an international environment.
Technical competencies
- Strong organisational skills and interest in process improvement and KPI/reporting dashboards,
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),
- Good working level of written and spoken English,
- Strong interest in digital SaaS solutions, data analytics and business intelligence tools (Qlik or similar is a plus).
