JOB PURPOSE :

 

To cover new customer requirements and products evolutions, Alstom Digital Transformation function is building a new technical platform and service model to integrate existing and future digital solutions proposed to customers. 

The Customers-to-R&D Alignement Program Manager, reporting to the IS&T D&IS Business Partner VP, is responsible for ensuring alignment between AGORA features development and customer commitments

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be in charge of managing the synchronization of the Customer projects in the regions (at least work-packages on digital solutions delivery) and the Customer Digital Solution R&D program 

  • Understand Alstom customers projects stakes and organization
  • Stakeholders of the project (internal / external)
  • Customer relationship basics
  • Contractual schemes

 

  • Understand existing and future Alstom Digital solutions
  • Portfolio of standard solutions offered
  • Solutions proposed ad-hoc on projects
  • New solutions (data driven) under construction
  • Existing singaling solutions evolving towards cloud & SaaS
  • Master the content of the Customer Digital Solution R&D program's technical blocks
  • Consolidate requirements coming from tenders and projects 
  • Consolidate needs from different projects and customers and associated timelines not already covered through Alstom offering
  • Feedback project teams on what can be committed in line of the Customer Digital Solution R&D program's platform development and on-boarding of standard solutions
  • Define the Customer Digital Solution R&D program's release content to answer projects and customer requirements

 

  • Drive the Customer Digital Solution R&D program's release content definition workshops to find the best balance between commitment to customer and maturity of the functionalities developed
  • Influence the Customer Digital Solution R&D program's work-packages / technical blocks product owners, digital solutions product owners, projects managers (/ Customers) towards consensus
  • Manage interdependencies
  • Once agreed, ensure customer projects deliveries (Digital Solutions work-package part) and the Customer Digital Solution R&D program  development are kept synchronized
  • Act as an escalation point for discrepencies observed
  • Coordinate Digital Solutions Work-package Managers 
  • Manage (functionally) a number of projects manager working in customer projects on the digital solutions work-package

 

MAIN CHALLENGES OF THE ROLE :

  • Ensure proper split of responsibilities as part of the Customer Digital Solution R&D program (internal / external)
  • Work hands in hands with Digital Solutions Product owners (coming from Digital Transfo / IS&T or Product Lines)
  • Push standard patterns
  • Justify potential needs for deviate / enrich standard patterns with product owners
  • Coordinate with region IS&T Business partners to have a consistent approach
  • Act as an ambassador for the Customer Digital Solution R&D program 
  • Listen and demonstrate a capacity in influencial leadership
  • Be service / commitment oriented
  • Work in AGILE Methodology (SAFE)

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

EDUCATION :

  • Graduated with an engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in information technology, you have more than 10 years of experience
  • You are working in Agile projects for many years and are familiar with the SAFE methodology
  • As a manager you have good communication, leadership and change management skills. You are result oriented, able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization and show intellectual curiosity and creativityYou have the ability to federate actors coming from different horizons towards the same objective.
  • You are able to understand enough the technology (both on digital solutions , infrastructure, security and IT services) to take the right operational decisions
  • You demonstrate curiosity to always learn and have a continuous improvement mindset
  • You are comfortable to understand customer context and Alstom Products

Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international and matrix environment and to face the business challenges with Alstom
