Purpose of the job:

The AMECA* FP&A Cost controlling manager steers the region-wide analysis of Support function costs (POH, NPOH, Tendering) and the forecasting, and reporting thereof. The AMECA FP&A Cost controlling manager, as a double hatting, will also be leading the ex-MENAT** FP&A processes and teams.  

 

*AMECA - Africa, Middle East, Central Asia region

**MENAT - "Middle East, North Africa Turkiye cluster" of countries

 

The AMECA FP&A Cost controlling manager:

  • Leads cost controlling for the AMECA region, and presents results to the AMECA Leadership team
  • Is responsible for the budget and forecasting cost cycles, and the cost strategy definition for the Region
    • structuring discussions on function costs, S&A and POH, with all Heads of Support functions and site MDs/FDs
    • providing detailed analyses to support discussions
    • challenging every team throughout the whole cycle
  • Collaborates with Group operational and function controllers, and AMECA Operational team to achieve region targets
  • Leads tender cost review process with AMECA Commercial teams
  • Challenges clusters and country MD’s and FD’s to ensure targets are achieved and cost saving initiatives are implemented
  • Challenges internal stakeholders to stimulate regional, cluster or site performance
  • Managing and developing the cost controlling analyst

 

The AMECA FP&A Cost controlling manager is also in charge of the ex-MENAT FP&A processes:

  • Manages and controls ex-MENAT countries FP&A data and challenges them every month
  • Leads FP&A local teams and is accountable for the ex-MENAT FP&A data and process quality
  • Supports improvement/transformation plans with the local FP&A support and ensures local FP&A teams are trained and developed accordingly

 

The AMECA FP&A Cost controlling manager is the owner of the AMECA HQ reporting unit (RU5201):

  • Defining the Reporting U strategy and cost structure and analyzing its performance throughout the year.
  • Presenting the RU performance on a monthly basis to AMECA Business Performance Director
  • Leading the ICQ campaign for the unit, and ensuring all internal controls are complied with.
  • Instructing all interco. Invoicing to GFC 

 

 

Educational Requirements: Finance/Business University Degree

Mandatory experience:

  • 10 years minimum finance experience including Business Performance
  • Proficient in ALSTOM reporting tools (GSI, Polaris, Teranga)
  • Prior external or internal audit experience is a plus
  • Fluency in English
