Alstom Digital Transformation is ensuring for the Alstom businesses the build and support of a large portfolio of global business solutions in several functional areas.

The Head of Treasury Solutions reports to the Finance Domain Director and is accountable to deliver appropriate portfolio of solutions for the Treasury function, by both maintaining and enhancing existing solutions, as well as transforming the portfolio by providing new solutions. With strategic partners, he/she will ensure the delivery of new solutions, and the availability and the performance of the applications in his/her scope.



Head of Treasury Solutions will manage a team of internal employees and external contractors that are supporting/maintaining the various solutions of the Treasury portfolio, as well as delivering enhancements to these solutions. Reporting to the Finance Domain Director, he/she will:

  • Be the main point of contact between Treasury Teams and Digital Transformation teams for all topics related to strategic roadmap, new demand (change requests, projects), escalations related to incidents, …
  • Permanently control the level of business users and key-users satisfaction for his/her applications 
  • Identify and propose Continuous improvement initiative to improve services efficiency  (as for example the drive of overall ticket volume decrease) 
  • Contributes with the finance teams to preparation of business cases for tools landscape evolution, while challenging business benefits vs. total cost of implementation (inc. run costs) 
  • Build the project/enhancements roadmap with finance and IS&T stakeholders, taking into consideration priorities and constraints (esp. resources), and arbitrate to match constraints. 
  • Lead the high level scoping phase, and contributes to design of key solutions at early phases of the projects, while ensuring consistency of the landscape in relation with global architects. 
  • Deliver enhancements in the applications, in line with business requirements and priorities (either through small enhancements/change requests, or through dedicated projects) 
  • Deliver transformation projects (including decommissioning of obsolete applications) to update applicative landscape, moving towards a more digital & innovative set of solutions 
  • Lead and manage the maintenance activities in coordination with internal teams and external partners for his/her applications. 
  • Ensure availability and performance for applications in production at optimized costs, according to the business needs, through close monitoring of applications and incidents 
  • Communicate regularly to the finance population about solutions performance (Operations Review Meetings), and maintain close contact in case of critical incident 
  • Manage relationship with editors and ensuring level of support from them, and manage conflicts and be the escalation point of contact for KU’s/Business


The challenge of the position is the accountability of the performance of critical applications for Alstom company, by having both IT technical skills and good functional knowledge. He/she will have to interact with many stakeholders in the functions and metiers of ALSTOM and with all the IT partners of Alstom in order to manage the issues and conflicts when critical events related to the applications in his/her portfolio.  Very good communication and negotiation skills are mandatory.



To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Business Administration or related field
  • Have a minimum 5-8 years of relevant of applications experience in the Treasury / Finance domain.
  • Have a technical background and be willing to learn and investigate new technologies.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to use this technical knowledge in collaboration with other departments.
  • Have a strong sense of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Be able to demonstrate a solid financial understanding and be able to monitor and control a budget.
  • Have very good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Take the lead and be autonomous.
  • Proven planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive change through innovation & process improvement.
  • Experience managing a team and be a collaborative team member in a challenging environment.
  • Be analytical and be willing to question the status quo.
  • Be able to report to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Be fluent in English.
