Located in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will be responsible for supporting the Procurement - Transformation and Efficiency team on mandates related to the transformation and efficiency improvement of procurement processes.

 

YOUR INTERNSHIP

 

In your role, you will be asked to perform the following tasks:

 

  • Review and Support in Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Develop Standard Work documentation
  • Follow-up on procurement & supply chain process key performance indicators
  • Maintain database of ongoing opportunities

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current procurement processes and tools
  • Identify areas that need improvement
  • Develop plans to increase procurement effceincy and decrease costs
  • Implement plans and inform staff on new procedures
  • Extract, manipulate and analyze data to be used in decision making
  • Assist transformation and efficiency team on broader scope when needed.  

 

As our ideal candidate, you:

 

  • Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or Operations Management
  • Have a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Are Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Have strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • A first roject Management experience would be an asset
  • You are fluent in English & French, spoken & written

 

 

Requirements:

  • Coursework in business strategy, project management, or business development field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of key purchasing and negotiating methods, principles and concepts and general business operations.
  • General knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
  • Basic understanding of continuous improvement techniques and methods.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations or resolve problems by drawing on internal information and referring to prior decisions.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and effectivly communicate outcomes.
