PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Support the Procurement CIM, Continuous Improvement & Performance Manager to:

  • Responsible within the CIM’s accountability to support Procurement’s efficiency monitoring by delivering accurate KPIs and appropriate data analysis
  • Responsible within the CIM’s accountability to drive functional performance improvements by minimizing activities and tasks, while being efficient, effective, and productive, and delivering value to the customer.  
  • Responsible within the CIM’s accountability to lead simplification strategy by ensuring flow chart/swim lane diagrams is deployed as visualization tools. Discover opportunities for improved Interaction between systems, Process automation, Process standardization, defining business rules and proposing Outsourcing opportunities.
  • Responsible within the CIM’s accountability to contribute to APSYS, (Alstom Performance System) maturity improvement by providing feedback, gap analysis and driving CI, Continuous Improvement, events that increase maturity.
     

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

Acting in a supporting role for procurement process optimization. The CI, Continuous Improvement, Advisor (CIA):

 

SUPPORT TO FUNCTIONAL OPERATIONS:    

    • Assist Procurement leadership in performance management by analyzing performance data to deliver relevant and accurate KPIs.
    • Prepare and edit the Monthly Procurement Dashboard and follow up and supporting stakeholders associated actions plan.
    • Make sure that regional Procurement performance needs are covered and addressed to meet site ambitions through problem solving, actions plans and collaboration routines.
    • Contribute strongly to the Procurement efficiency simplification planning, deployment, and coaching teams through (CI), Continuous Improvement projects improving performance maturity of procurement within the NAM region.
    • Ensure that standard processes are known and applied in his area by implementing communication, surveys and Return of EXperience (REX)      .
    • In charge of new process deployment to the NAM, North AMerica, regional procurement community, as well as developing recurring routines of coherent streams of collaboration with internal suppliers and customers.
       

SUPPORT FOR PROCUREMENT PERFORMANCE:

    • Interact with tools expert whenever necessary to ensure consistency and efficiency between processes and procurement tools.     
    • Drive problem solving events on procurement processes and tools to support APSYS maturity progress.
    • Collect, analyze, and prepare data analysis for domains to present appropriate KPI's that monitor the Procurement performance and support process deployment and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure and maintain level 3 maturity of the Procurement tools and processes is achieved driving best in class practices.
    • Contribute to change management following method and tool deployment (ERP SAP/GSI for instance) in the Procurement domains supporting the Procurement BPO.
       

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • 1-3 years relevant work experience, Flawless execution - guidance needed, having supported on continuous improvement implementation, Main POC, Point Of Contact, as process/technical expert of specific topic/s

Desirable:

  • Post-Secondary Degree with post-graduate credits in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, or business administration.

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Familiarity with procurement processes: procure to pay, preparing and reviewing contracts, and terms negotiation.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience using business management software and tools, including SAP, SAP Ariba, and/or Qlik Sense data analytics tool.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills 

Desirable:

  • Six Sigma Certification (IASSC/ASQ)
  • Master Project Manager (AAPM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMI)
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
