Your future role

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful management of Train Electrical (TE) activities, contributing to the delivery of quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments on our projects and programs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Project Management, and Central Engineering teams), provide leadership and guidance to the TE team on-site, and ensure the deployment of Alstom Transport Qualiy management Systems (QMS) and Engineering instructions, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing the TE team’s capacity and workload to meet project requirements, but also drive the continuous improvement of the TE Métier in collaboration with the Central Engineering TE team.
We’ll look to you for:

Implementing an organization to manage Train Electrical activities for tenders, projects, and programs at the site as per applicable TE instructions and processes.

Ensuring follow-up and delivery of Quality Cost Delay (QCD) TE work packages for the site.

Supporting the TE team in resolving issues and defining priorities, especially those involving other stakeholders.

Preparing and documenting design reviews as per project schedules and ensuring follow-up on key actions.

Managing the development of the site TE team to align capacity, workload, and skills with project needs.

Ensuring adequate TE resources are allocated to projects/programs/tenders.

Managing the site workload forecast and identifying necessary resources to secure project QCD commitments.

Ensuring the application of Alstom Transport/Engineering rules and processes.

Reporting on progress and alerting N+1 of potential issues impacting QCD commitments.

Contributing to the improvement of TE Métier rules in collaboration with the Central Engineering team.

Providing feedback to Central Engineering on the application of Train Electrical processes.

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience in the electrical domain, preferably in the railway industry.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in team management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Structured and organized, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Bilingual French & English. Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset when dealing with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues and customers. In Quebec, French remains the main working language of our company.

Familiarity with quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) principles.
