Are you passionate about the railway industry and complex systems? The Train Control & Monitoring Systems (TCMS) team is opening its doors to you. TCMS consists of onboard equipment and software components that send and receive data with ground systems via various wireless connections.

As a Test Technician, you will become a key contributor to the technical excellence of our solutions. If you are looking for a role that has a direct impact on the safety and efficiency of tomorrow’s transportation, this challenge is for you.

Your future role

As a Test Technician, you will be involved throughout the entire validation cycle. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure the delivery of systems with absolute quality and reliability.

As a technical pillar of the laboratory, you combine expertise in industrial electronics with an interest in computing, making you an ideal candidate for this role.


Your key responsibilities

Test infrastructure management: Configure, calibrate, and maintain test benches and specialized laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
Documentation management: Read, interpret, and update mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
Execution of critical validations: Perform functional tests and validation testing on test benches
Diagnostics and troubleshooting: Conduct diagnostics to identify recurring failures, then propose and implement sustainable technical fixes
Operational optimization: Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and maintain a structured and safe validation environment
Strict adherence to processes: Follow established processes, methods, and tools related to these activities


About you

Beyond your technical expertise, we are looking for a passionate and committed individual. To thrive in this versatile role and meet our technological challenges, the following qualifications will be essential:

Education: College diploma (DEC) in industrial electronics technology, electrotechnics, computer science, or a related field
Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in an electronics lab, testing, or validation
Hardware skills: Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and understanding of analog/digital signals
Software skills: Basic programming knowledge (Python, C, LabVIEW) and strong interest in hardware/software interaction
Networks & tools: Knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP) and issue-tracking tools (Jira, ALM)
Design & office tools: Basic knowledge of mechanical drawing (AutoCAD) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Bilingualism: Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

Location: Saint-Bruno (South Shore of Montreal)
Status: Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)
Work model: Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
