The Train Control & Monitoring System (TCMS) consist of onboard equipment and software components that send and receive data with ground systems via various wireless links

Join us as Software Tester, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St-Bruno (QC), CA.

The development team requires readily available test benches to validate newly developed software or reproduce/diagnose any issues arising on service trains.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure and maintain test benches and laboratory tools. 
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and tools. 
  • Read, analyze, interpret, create, and update mechanical drawings, electrical plans, and technical documents. 
  • Perform validation tests, functional tests, control modules, panels, and prototypes.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics, identify recurring failures, propose and apply corrective actions.
  • Contributes to test environments maintenance and provide logistical support to its users (procurement, shipping, assembly, modifications)

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • DEC  in industrial electronics technology, electrotechnics, computer science, or a related field. 
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in electronic laboratory work, testing, or validation. 
  • Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics. 
    Basic knowledge of mechanical design, AutoCAD, or other tools. 
  • Good understanding of hardware/software interactions. 
  • Interest in software and basic programming knowledge: Python, C, test scripts, LabVIEW, as well as
  • experience with test or anomaly management tools (Jira, ALM). 
  • Understanding of analog and digital signals. 
  • Knowledge of network environments and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP). 
  • Autonomous, rigorous, and methodical. 
  • Ability to solve problems and document conclusions clearly. 
  • Curious, analytical, and motivated to learn. 
  • Microsoft Office. 
  • Mechanical and electrical CAD tools (Asset).
  • Operational English and French languages, mandatory

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
