Could you be the full-time Train System Engineer in Saint-Bruno we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your railway engineering and system management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, dynamic, and passionate teammates.

You'll contribute to designing innovative train system architectures, ensuring optimal performance, and meeting stakeholder requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (TSE, TPM, domain experts), participate in technical meetings with clients, coordinate supplier relationships to achieve QCD objectives, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of specifying train function architectures and associated subsystems, but also coordinating interfaces and managing technical issues.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Allocating cross-functional requirements to various subsystems in collaboration with domain experts.

  • Developing and defining requirements based on applicable reference documents (standards, certification, safety, platform, customer).

  • Defining train system architectures, operational modes, and functionalities while addressing internal and external requirements.

  • Conducting train system FMEAs in coordination with the RAMS team.

  • Ensuring consistency and compatibility between subsystem specifications.

  • Writing subsystem specifications and architectural descriptions in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Managing technical relationships with suppliers and overseeing QCD commitments and risk management.

  • Defining and executing the verification and validation (V&V) strategy for train systems.

  • Supporting train integration and tuning activities.

  • Resolving technical issues during the commercial service phase of trains.

  • Providing regular project reports and supporting process optimization for change management and QCD performance.

  • Sharing lessons learned to enhance reference solutions.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a relevant field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, ideally within the railway sector.

  • Strong knowledge of requirements and change management processes.

  • Good understanding of systems engineering principles.

  • Familiarity with DOORS software is an asset.

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

  • Availability for occasional travel to other sites or client locations.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with multicultural and talented teams sharing common values

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility

  • Progress towards roles with increased responsibility or technical expertise

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
