To assure that an engineering schedule is available and up to date, engineering planners follows blocking points and they are able to propose solutions in order to respect the committed schedule in case of slippage. To be responsible of all site engineering schedules. In tender phase, to prepare engineering schedule with métiers managers and pre-project team with bid technical hypothesis. In R&D and project phase to ensure that all project follows the defined rules and budget is respected.

 

Responsibilities In tender :

  • To issue with BTM and métiers leaders committed and shared engineering schedule for contract execution (including critical customer inputs).
  • To estimate & commit a budget for project scheduling activities.
  • To identify critical activities with PrPM. To identify the need for anticipation.
  • To implement (with PrPM) a DFQ milestones for the project. In R&D and project : To allocate the necessary resources to Engineering scheduling.
  • To support PrEM and engineering team about Engineering schedules. To support the engineering Planner in the relation with all other project stakeholders. To assure an engineering schedule update and follow-up.
  • To support engineering Planner in surveying blocking points regarding committed dates: To propose solutions, to follow implementation and to escalade if necessary To give visibility on engineering scheduling situation: Per Project Per Site Continuous improvement on engineering scheduling: To participate to the REX along the projects for capitalization on metiers To promote on time commitment culture To contribute to standardize way of working with other sites To standardize the way of working between métiers and different projects People Management: Management of engineering planner(s) (ALPS, People Management Cycle) To assure the competence ramp-up of the planner(s)

 

Knowledge & Experience :

  • At least 5 years of experience in a large Industrial Project (at its best in railway business).
  • At least 5 years of Team Management Previous scheduling background & using project scheduling software, i.e. Primavera, Microsoft Project.
  • Able to make the synthesis of a critical issue Innovative, pro-active and positive Good Communication & Collaborative skills Customer oriented Strong change management skills and leadership.
  • French/English.
