We are looking for a high‑impact finance professional to lead the financial performance, controlling environment, and operational support of one of Alstom's major sites based in St-Bruno on the South Shore of Montreal.
Your future role
As the Site Controller, you will serve as the key financial business partner to the Site Managing Director and the site leadership team. You are accountable for financial accuracy, transparent reporting, cost management, forecast reliability and strategic financial guidance.
You will act as the main interface between site functions—Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Engineering—and regional/country finance teams. You will be responsible for monitoring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) financial indicators, setting cost‑control targets, validating forecasts and budgets, and ensuring compliance with internal control standards.
ou’ll make decisive contributions by providing financial insights, interpreting variances, challenging assumptions, developing action plans and driving financial performance across the entire site.
You will be specifically responsible for:
Financial Management and Controlling
- Provide accurate, transparent financial information and performance enablers to site management.
- Assist the Site Managing Director in all financial matters and strategic decision‑making.
- Monitor, forecast, and analyze the QCD financial indicators for the site.
- Set the financial control environment and cost‑management targets to maximize site performance.
- Control and validate financial data provided by all site functions.
- Monitor financial flows and validate all final financial reports.
- Interpret financial data and conduct variance and risk analysis.
- Perform actuals, forecast, budget and 3‑year plan activities.
- Develop and track corrective action plans to optimize performance.
- Provide all required financial analysis and support to central management control teams.
- Follow restructuring or capacity extension plans when applicable.
- Validate site budgets, 3 Year Plan, Rolling Forecasts and financial reporting packages.
Reporting and Coordination
- Establish and maintain an environment that allows collection, consolidation and validation of accurate financial data for actuals, budget and forecasts.
- Ensure the site’s financial structures, systems and processes comply with Alstom requirements and external standards.
- Guarantee alignment with Alstom’s reporting definitions, ensuring consistent and compliant managerial information.
- Interface with the regional controller and country Finance Director, cascading financial information from the operations perspective.
Management
- Serve as a member of the Site CODIR (site management committee).
- Coordinate planning and budgeting activities, timelines and deliverables across the site.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analyses for the Finance Director.
- Manage a controlling team of 3–4 FTEs.

- Significant experience in controlling within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French
- ERP experience (SAP is an asset).
- Ability to work in a matrixed, international environment.
