The publisher is responsible to support all project of Service Engineering, Integrated Services Readiness department to ensure publication/manuals are produced on time and with the appropriate quality. The publisher will support from the establishment of the writing guides to the final delivery of the publications. He/She will also support the document layout review and structure prior to delivery and the quality review of the manuals. Working closely with the Information Architect, he/she will also support the applications structure set up for contract publication.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible to produce the technical publications/manuals, the publisher will control the quantity and quality prior to delivery. He/She will coordinate the delivery to the customer in due time. 
  • The publisher will support and ensure that the paper and electronic manuals or any other document for Service Engineering have the appropriate document layout. He/She will document the style guide requirements for each project.
  • The publisher will assemble the paper and electronic manuals or any other document for Service Engineering. Launch and execute scripting task for assembly and publications of interactive and paper manuals. Analyze preliminary minor issues encountered during the execution of the script and participate to their resolution with the Applications Specialist and the technical writers.
  • He/She is responsible for the sampling quality review of the technical documentation ready to deliver to the customers. Manages the library and the control copy of all technical manuals.
  • The publisher will ensure that the established writing rules and principles are respected thru the publishing tools used by Service Engineering team. When necessary, could also support normalization of supplier documentations received.

 

REQUIRED PROFILE:

 

  • College or University degree in computer sciences and editing or relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 5 to 7 years using electronic publishing systems
  • Technical Publications and Publishing Software
  • MS Office, Adobe Framemaker (EDD), SharePoint, SAP, Illustrator, Photoshop, JIRA, Structured Language (XML)
  • Fluent in French and English
