We are seeking Project Planners to join the Planning team based in Saint‑Bruno, where you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

 

 

Your Future Role

As a Project Planner, you are a key contributor to schedule control and overall project performance. You leverage your expertise in planning, analysis, and the management of complex schedules to secure project delivery in compliance with technical, contractual, and organizational requirements.

 

You develop, consolidate, and maintain reliable baseline schedules, identify critical paths, and analyze the impacts of risks and changes. Through your ability to structure information, challenge assumptions, and anticipate deviations, you propose concrete action plans to optimize timelines and support decision‑making.

 

Working daily with project teams (engineering, project management, procurement, partners, and suppliers), you play a central role in coordination and communication, ensuring stakeholder alignment and the quality of planning data. You also contribute to progress tracking through KPIs, earned value management, and performance analysis, while supporting contractual matters related to schedule adherence.

 

This permanent, full‑time position (40 hours/week) is based at our St‑Bruno site on Montreal’s South Shore. It requires the ability to work in an international, multi‑site, and matrix organization. The work environment is hybrid, with 3 days on‑site and 2 days remote per week.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain project schedules in accordance with company standards and procedures
  • Identify critical paths, analyze variances, and anticipate schedule risks
  • Update and monitor the quality of internal and external schedules
  • Lead planning reviews and challenge stakeholders’ assumptions
  • Contribute to schedule optimization (on‑time delivery, cash flow, penalties, resources)
  • Prepare progress reports and performance indicators (KPIs, earned value)
  • Capture and analyze lessons learned (LL)
  • Support the Contract Manager with delay analyses and schedule‑related contractual matters

Your Profile

  • Degree in engineering or another relevant field; project management certification is an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project planning
  • Strong knowledge of planning methods and techniques
  • Proficiency in at least one planning tool (Primavera P6, MSP, Planisware, etc.) and Microsoft Office tools (advanced Excel)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bilingualism in French and English required
  • Knowledge of the rail or transportation industry is an asset
