Take on a new challenge and apply your technical cost analysis expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in driving cost efficiency and supporting product development across the organization. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing), develop methodologies for cost analysis, and promote a cost-conscious culture in engineering teams, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating cost models for product families, but also contribute to identifying and formalizing cost-saving opportunities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of components/systems throughout the product development cycle

  • Developing cost analysis methods for components/systems

  • Proposing design or manufacturing process improvements to reduce technical costs

  • Promoting a cost-conscious culture within engineering teams

  • Providing detailed cost breakdowns to support sourcing and negotiation activities

  • Sharing supplier feedback and formalizing cost-saving opportunities


All about you

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering

  • Experience or understanding of purchasing and/or procurement processes (an asset)

  • Knowledge of cost analysis methodologies and industrial processes

  • Experience in the transportation industry (railway, automotive, heavy equipment, etc.)

  • Fluency in French and English

  • Autonomous, proactive, and possesses technical leadership

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
