We are seeking candidates with the following profile:

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 3 to 5 years of experience  
  • Engineer member of the OIQ
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer)  
  • Time management and reporting skill  
  • Sense of urgency / priority  
  • Structured and organized with Hands-on approach
  • English operational in read/writing and technical meetings.

 

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Maintain project schedule, follow-up on tasks and deliverables
  • Drive main design strategy, quality of concepts, stress analyses all in accordance with project requirements and specifications
  • Negotiate and validate interfaces with other functions connected to the Carbody shell
  • Facilitate technical discussions, conduct internal design reviews to meet the project milestones (design gates)
  • Represent the Carbody Structure group in front of the customer and act as the reference point internally in front of other departments.

 

The ideal candidate will be proficient with:

  • Project management and the relevant tools (OBEYA, Earned Value, etc.)
  • Design of welded structure subject to dynamic loading
  • Manufacturing of metallic structures
  • Finite element analysis & manual calculations for static and fatigue assessment of metallic structure with welded, bolted, and riveted connections
  • GD&T, Welding, Welding Symbols
  • Welding norms (EN, AWS) and railway standards (APTA, etc.) (Asset)
  • CATIA V5
  • HyperWorks Suites of Software with OptiStruct solver
