Join us  as Industrial Designer in St. Bruno and become part of team of people with passion for innovation! In this position you will have to design innovative and attractive mobility solutions for sustainable mobility users all over the world.

 

In this position you will: 

 

  • Understand and interpret customer/market requirements, deliver innovative cost-effective solutions which meet applicable functional and appearance requirements;
  • Participate and lead as necessary work packages during tenders, delivery projects and Research and Development activities;
  • Ensure that proposed design solutions embody Alstom’s DNA and Perceived Quality values;
  • Effectively communicate design proposals and solutions using a variety of techniques including but not limited to sketches, renderings, Alias Models, and specification documents;
  • Work as part of multi-functional engineering team;
  • Work with external partners;
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of industrial design processes;
  • Successful completion of bid and delivery projects through the timely completion of agreed deliverables;
  • Keep abreast of technological developments and looking to enhance Alstom’s mobility solutions.
     

As our ideal candidate: 

 

  • You own an Industrial design bachelor’s degree;
  • You have experience working with one or more of the following softwares: Alias, VRED, Keyshot, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator;
  • You have experience of contributing product design thinking and skills to multifunctional engineering teams;
  • You are able to solve complex problems and present innovative solutions;
  • You own a solid understanding of design processes;
  • You are able to communicate design proposals effectively using a range of mediums and techniques;
  • You have excellent English and French communication skills both written and spoken.
