Your future role
Finance Portfolio Manager leads a team of financial project Manager and oversees the financial performance of his sites/projects. He works closely with the Solution director. He also guarantees the continuous improvement of financial processes. We’ll look to you for:
- Provide accurate, transparent financial information and performance insights to the Solution Director and the leadership team.
- Support the Solution Director in all financial matters, including interpretation of results, data analysis, and decision‑making guidance
- Deliver timely financial analysis to regional management and Headquarters as required.
- Validate and control all financial data provided by the projects under your scope.
- Be an active member of the projects teams by challenging assumptions and support definition and implementation of action plans to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks and optimise Opportunities
- Implement an adequate and consistent control framework at both project and site levels to maximize operational and financial performance.
- Lead the full finance cycle for your portfolio and ensure high-quality performance management across projects, covering actuals, forecasts, and budget cycles.
- Provide ongoing financial expertise, coaching, and support to your team of 6 Financial Project Managers and work package controllers to drive performance, strengthen controlling practices, and promote continuous improvement in financial processes.

- 8–10 years of financial experience, ideally in a multinational or matrix environment.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting across multiple cycles (budgeting, forecasting, closing).
- Ability to understand and apply internal policies and procedures, such as RAMS and Alstom GAP.
- Advanced knowledge of cost classification and cost reporting, with ability to interpret and challenge data.
- Change agent mindset with demonstrated ability to propose improvements and lead initiatives.
- Strong ethical standards, demonstrating teamwork, honesty, integrity, courage, and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to simplify complex financial information for non‑financial stakeholders.
- Highly reliable and well‑organized, with strong attention to detail.
- Resilient under pressure, comfortable working with senior leadership (N+1, N+2) and managing competing priorities.
- Solution‑oriented and analytical, with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to build partnerships with site managers and functional leaders, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Bilingual (English and french)
Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset when dealing with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues and customers. In Quebec, French remains the main working language of our company.
