With several strategic projects underway and upcoming, we are seeking an Engineering Planner to join our team based in Saint-Bruno (Quebec).
In this key role, you will contribute to the planning and monitoring of development activities within the engineering office, ensuring coordination and alignment of timelines in a complex, multidisciplinary project environment within a multinational organization.
Your Future Role
In this high-impact role, you will work closely with engineering teams and project planners to ensure milestones are met and to maintain visibility on activities related to the product development lifecycle (design, build, deployment, validation).
You will also play an important role in identifying risks, coordinating schedules, and driving continuous improvement of planning practices.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage development activities for one or more engineering disciplines using JIRA
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Identify risks and issues related to activity sequencing, workload, or team capacity
- Contribute to resolving planning challenges by proposing different scenarios
- Communicate progress updates and next steps to relevant stakeholders
- Support risk management for the disciplines under your responsibility
- Participate in planning governance and performance tracking (KPIs, visual management, action plans, follow-up meetings, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with project planners to ensure effective coordination
Your profile
- Academic background in engineering (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Experience or knowledge of the railway product development lifecycle
- Familiarity with planning tools, ideally JIRA
