With several multimillion-dollar projects currently underway and an exciting pipeline of future initiatives, we are seeking a Director, Strategic Project Planning to join our team, based at our headquarters in Saint-Bruno, Québec.

Your future role

We are looking for a strategic, influential, and forward-thinking Planning Leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You’re someone who combines strong project planning expertise with leadership, collaboration, and a drive for continuous improvement—and knows how to bring teams together to deliver results.

 
Take on a high-impact role where you will shape how planning is executed across major projects, ensuring on-time delivery of key customer milestones while driving alignment across functions and regions. You’ll work with diverse stakeholders—from Product Lines to PMO and regional teams—while leading and coaching a team of planning experts toward excellence, playing a critical role in strengthening planning practices at scale.

 Your mission 

  • Lead and energize the planning community, fostering collaboration and best practice sharing
  • Ensure end-to-end schedule alignment across functions, regions, and project layers
  • Drive the deployment and continuous improvement of planning standards, tools, and methodologies
  • Define and implement company-wide planning processes
  • Support bids and project execution with robust, reliable planning strategies
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on planning excellence and performance
  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and proactive risk & opportunity management

 What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • 10+ years of experience in planning, project management, or supply chain
  • Strong expertise in scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Project, Planisware, Kinaxis, etc.)
  • Experience in railway, construction, or large-scale industrial environments
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in a matrixed organization
  • Strategic mindset with strong decision-making and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English
  • A collaborative, results-driven approach with a passion for continuous improvement
