The Continuous Improvement & Performance Manager – Indirect Procurement is responsible for driving procurement efficiency, process maturity, compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the AMERICAS. This role ensures the deployment of global procurement standards, monitors business performance, leads cross-functional improvement initiatives, and supports governance, audits, and assessments to achieve procurement objectives and business targets.

The position acts as a key partner to Procurement, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Line leadership teams to improve performance, optimize working capital, strengthen compliance, and drive sustainable results.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Efficiency, Maturity, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Process Excellence & Standardization

• Deploy and sustain global procurement processes, standards, and work instructions across the Product Line.
• Ensure alignment with corporate procurement policies, governance requirements, and best practices.
• Promote process standardization and procurement maturity through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Performance Management & KPI Governance

• Monitor and analyze procurement business metrics and KPI bowling charts against Product Line objectives.
• Develop and maintain procurement performance dashboards and reporting tools.
• Drive Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Connect Reviews, operational performance reviews, and management reporting.
• Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities, ensuring timely action plans.

Budget Planning & Financial Performance

• Support annual budget planning and target deployment throughout the Product Line.
• Ensure procurement objectives are cascaded effectively across teams.
• Track procurement savings, cost reduction initiatives, and productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance to validate business cases and monitor financial performance.

Cash & Working Capital Improvement

• Lead initiatives aimed at improving cash flow and working capital performance.
• Monitor inventory, payment terms, and cash optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to achieve cash objectives.
• Identify and implement procurement levers that contribute to improved working capital management.

Problem Solving & Operational Excellence

• Lead structured problem-solving activities within the Product Line.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, APSYS, or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies.
• Drive sustainable solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Cross-Functional Improvement Programs

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional improvement plans involving Procurement, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
• Manage improvement roadmaps and track execution of action plans.
• Facilitate change management and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Ensure continuous alignment between procurement objectives and business priorities.

APSYS & Maturity Assessments

• Prepare and coordinate APSYS assessments and cross-assessments.
• Support maturity evaluations and continuous improvement audits.
• Ensure action plans are developed, tracked, and successfully completed.
• Share best practices and lessons learned across teams and sites.

Compliance & Audit Management

• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including:
  • ICQ
  • ISO
  • IRIS
  • CMMI
  • EPPPS
  • AFNOR
  • Corporate compliance assessments ( APSYS)
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with procurement governance requirements.
• Manage corrective actions and follow-up activities resulting from audits and assessments.

Area of Expertise:

• Define the strategy, standards, and objectives for procurement tools and processes.
• Develop and execute a three-year roadmap supporting the end-to-end procurement vision.
• Ensure process alignment and consistent tool adoption across the Procurement community.
• Define KPIs and drive achievement of deployment and adoption targets.
• Own the operational Business Intelligence strategy for procurement digital tools and act as the main liaison with IS&T.
• Support the development, performance, and continuous improvement of procurement digital solutions and processes.

Knowledge Management & Deployment

• Design and deliver global training programs to support change management and stakeholder capability development.
• Build and support a global network of key users and champions.
• Contribute to APSYS Procurement audit framework improvements through feedback to experts and auditors.
• Partner with the Procurement Continuous Improvement Manager to support local deployment and continuous feedback.

All About You

Mandatory : 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, purchasing, procurement or another relevant field.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement
• Minimum 2 years experience in the Railroad industry
• 2 years of experience in :
  • SAP, Excel and other MS Office tools or similar
  • Procurement continuous improvement
  • KPI governance
  • Procurement processes and tools
• You have 2 years of experience in :
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Respect of tight deadlines
  • Working under pressure
  • High sense of responsibility and initiative
• 2 years of experience with the following audits :
  • ICQ
  • ISO
  • IRIS
  • CMMI
  • EPPPS
  • AFNOR

Work Arrangement: Hybrid
