Could you be the full-time Train Layout Designer in [LOCATION] we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and creative expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play an essential role in shaping the design and functionality of our train layouts, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our transportation solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (General Studies domain peers, Engineering Design team, Project/Platform teams), support gauge and weight engineers, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating complete train and car layouts, but also perform preliminary 3D allocations.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Creating 2D train layouts according to mechanical architecture

  • Performing initial 3D allocations for train architecture

  • Supporting gauge and weight studies

  • Collaborating with General Studies domain peers

  • Working with Engineering Design and Project/Platform teams

  • Ensuring high-quality deliverables within set timelines

  • Advanced Technician Certificate or equivalent qualification

  • Basic understanding of 2D and 3D design tools

  • Familiarity with mechanical architecture and train layouts

  • Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, and technical meetings)

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
