Purpose of the job:

  • Capture and provide REX of the Warranty period to all internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Failure assessment & categorization for better Accrual Forecasting, be a part of FRACAS team and do Gap Analysis of Loco performance.
  • Root Cause Analysis, REX assessment & engineering change suggestions (Reliability Growth), Identification & containment of Non-Conformity.
  • Ensure 8D follow-up with Quality and ownership of QRQC
  • Management of failed items & replenishment follow up by sustained coordination with Suppliers for NCR and Warranty support and Follow up suppliers (for Consignment Stock items) for Depot
  • Manage Reliability Growth with Internal customers and suppliers and internally (Field Modifications, …) to achieve the contractual Reliability targets.
  • Suppliers Governance, Warranty Implementation and secure Repair Loop, Warranty Implementation -Suppliers Contract enforcement and implementation (LCC, Reliability, Availability & MTTR)
  • Management of one or several WI depot teams performing WI activities (warranty Implementation, field modification implementation,) Liaise with customer depot management and maintainer.
  • Drive Warranty Back-office function to support Warranty Customers/ Site team
  • Secure the Repair Loop and place service contract (applicable for warranty, transition and post warranty)
  • Coordinate Obsolescence management (if applicable)
  • Responsible of completion of Warranty phase of each loco in time.
  • Coordinate with Suppliers for field modification implementation with material, tools, documentation, qualified resources (if necessary).
  • Manage consignment / warranty stock over warranty project life time
  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Enforcement of EHS in WI depots
  • Support all statutory audits and standards
  • Process standardisation, Team Management, Contribute to WI image and skills acknowledgement

Coordination with maintenance teams Key accountabilities:

  • Take lead on RCA, Governance  and Corrective actions from Supplier during warranty Phase
  • Management of Warranty Work Package • Management of ERP data for Warranty Tracking
  • Supervise local consignment / warranty stock availability
  • Organize and optimize warranty spares repair loop incl. Intervention reports
  • Contribute to claims and negotiations with external supplier (regarding warranty)
