Could you be the full-time Troubleshooter Engineer in India we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and troubleshooting expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance and reliability of locomotives during various operational phases such as schedule maintenance, mainline attention, and overhauling. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, ILS, Fleet & Warranty, EHS, and Industrial teams), facilitate communication within the troubleshooting team, and contribute to continuous reliability improvement.

You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting and testing locomotives, but also managing failure databases effectively.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring effective troubleshooting on locomotives during various phases according to best practices

  • Validating and certifying relevant tools

  • Populating and managing failure databases

  • Facilitating communication within the troubleshooting team

  • Providing support in special cases

  • Adhering to EHS rules and promoting safety practices

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognized university

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to upload/download software and validate functions

  • Familiarity with electrical schematics of locomotives

  • Knowledge of locomotive power circuits and pneumatic systems

  • Specialization in one sub-system of locomotives (e.g., traction, brake, TCMS) is desirable

  • Knowledge of special processes like torquing and crimping is a plus
