Purpose of the Job:
To ensure effective troubleshooting and testing of locomotives during various operational phases(schedule Maintenance, mainline attention, overhauling) contributing to reliability improvement.

Reports directly to: Lead Troubleshooter Engineer

Indian railway Loco pilots, SSE, officials.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
- Ensuring troubleshooting on locomotives during various phases according to best practices
- Ensuring validity and certification of relevant tools
- Populating and managing failure databases effectively
- Facilitating communication within the troubleshooting team
- Contributing to continuous reliability improvement
- Providing support in special cases and adhering to EHS rules.
Main Required Competencies:
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering from a recognized university.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to upload/download software & validate the function.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics of locomotives.
- Knowledge of locomotive power circuits and pneumatic systems
Experience required for this role:
B. Tech in Electrical/Electronic with 3–5 years’ experience in Electric Loco Shed as a troubleshooter/maintainer
Diploma in Electrical/Electronic with 5–7 years’ experience in Electric Loco Shed as a troubleshooter/maintainer
Desirable:
Specialization in one sub-system of locomotive (e.g., traction, brake, TCMS)
Knowledge of special processes like torquing and crimping
