OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• .Planning Prioritizing Traffic Tasks, Co-ordination with Internal & external stake Holders/IR Staff

Reports directly to: - Lead traffic Controllar 

Position title :- Traffic Assistant.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Safe and efficient movement of locomotives within the depot
• Perform shunting operations safely and efficiently
• Placement / removal of locomotive on Under floor wheel lathe machine for wheel re-profiling,
• Maneuver locomotive through wash plant for loco washing,
• Carrying out handing and taking over of locomotives with mainline drivers
• Checking of locomotive properly before handing & taking over
• Maintain proper records and report of any abnormality in the loco
• Respect EHS rules and any work related processes
• Safe and efficient movement of locomotives
• Efficient washing through the wash plant
• Avoid detention of locomotives on account of operational movement

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

               Diploma/Degree  in any field from recognized University. (Regular Course)

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

• Flexible and Adaptable.  Can adapt to new ideas
• Conscientious.  Meets proposed deadlines
• Team Player.  Supports team members

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

• 5 years’ experience in Indian Railways as Electric Shunter/Electric
• Knowledge of points and crossing operation, OHE isolation, Shunting the locomotive using sHUNTER VEHICLE
• Communication skills (written and verbal).

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

• Language Skills: Proficient in English language & Hindi.
• IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
