About Alstom in India

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • The Retrofit Manager  Is responsible to industrialize the retrofit  activity at the Depot,  Study & provide .indurtial impacts for retrofit  for maintenance .

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • LEAD THE RETROFIT OF TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION, RESPECTING THE STANDARD MANUFACTURING PROCESS & STANDARD MANUFACTURING LINE GUIDELINES, FOOTPRINT
  • SIMULATE & DESIGN THE TOOLS, JIGS AND FIXTURES IN CATIA, ALSO UPDATE  ON REQUIREMENT.
  • ELABORATE,DEFINE ,CREATE & STABLIZE THE REQUIRED INDUSTRIAL DELIVERABLES FOR RETROFIT  : FMI, IMPLANTATION OF THE WORKSTATIONS, BILL OF MATERIAL, TASK SEQUENCE AND/OR STANDARD OPERATIONS SHEET, WORK INSTRUCTIONS, METHOD TIMES,.
  • PROVIDE INPUTS TO INDUSTRIAL MEANS AND TOOLS REQUIREMENTS FOR RETROFIT ACTIVITIES
  • ANALYSE  THE INHOSE CAPBILTY , EXTERNAL SOURCES  &  OTHER SITE ALIGNMENT FOR RETROFIT ACTIVITIES DURING CHANGE CONFIGRATION MEETING.                                                                                       
  • VALIDATE  &  TRACK  ON THE FIELD THE INDUSTRIAL DELIVERABLES, TOOLS AND INDUSTRIAL MEANS WITH MAINTENANCE EXECUTION            
  • RESPECT THE INDUSTRIAL PLANNING MILESTONES (FOLLOWED BY THE IMFU FOR RETROFIT & TRACKING FOR REGULARISATION INLINE WITH CCM MANAGER )                                                                            
  • UNDERSTAND AND SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF APSYS SUBJECTS RELATED TO INDUSTRIAL ROADMAP  .                                  
  • ENSURE RAILWAY SAFETY AND EHS, AZDP STANDARDS ARE RESPECTED        
  • ORIENT & VALIDATE THE DESIGN WHILE TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE INDUSTRIAL CONSTRAINTS OF THE MANUFACTURING, RENOVATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SITES, IN CONCURRENT ENGINEERING WITH THE DESIGN TEAM DURING RETROFIT .
  • SET UP INDUSTRIAL PROCESS IMPROVEMENT FOR RETROFIT RELATED TO INDUSTRIAL EFFICIENCY, QUALITY, SAFETY, ERGONOMICS, EHS, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT.
  • ADAPT THE INDUSTRIAL PROCESS AND DELIVERABLES TO PROJECT LIFE CYCLE EVENTS SUCH AS DESIGN CHANGES, OBSOLESCENCE, MAINTENANCE PLAN OPTIMIZATION, FLEET EXTENSION, CHANGES IN OPERATING MODES ...).
  • CONTRIBUTE TO THE CONTROL CHANGE BOARD REVIEW, WHERE APPROPRIATE, TO REDUCE NON QUALITY OR IMPROVE SAFETY, PERFORMANCE OF OPERATIONS.
  • DEVELOP INDUSTRIAL EXPERTISE IN THEIR SCOPE, ACCORDING TO METHOD, PROCESSES AND TOOLS, CAPITALIZE AND MANAGE REX TO IMPROVE AND SHARE INDUSTRIAL STANDARDS.
  • ANALYZE THE TOOLING REQUESTED AND PROPOSE THE ADEQUATE SOLUTION.
  • ELABORATE THE SPECIFICATION OF REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INDUSTRIAL MEANS AND TOOLS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE EXECUTION ACTIVITIES, RELATING
  • VALIDATE THE DESIGN THROUGH DESIGN REVIEWS.
  • VALIDATE THE RETROFIT TOOLING & ACTIVITY 
  • ENSURE TOOLS ARE AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE ACTIVITIES "ON TIME" IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
  • MAINTAIN KPI & DELIVERABLES WITHIN TARGET.
  • CONTRIBUTE IN DESIGN REVIEWS & ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS.
  • ANALYSE THE CURRENT FAILURES   & RETROFIT  RESULTS  AND PROJECT FOR IMPROVEMENT.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

  • BE/B-Tech Mechanical/Electrical
  • Autocad
  • Catia
  • IT literate ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Logical and organized.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

  1. Industrial processes definition & validation
  2.  Experience in Tooling design and concept development.
  3. Ability to Read and Understand schematics and drawings
  4. Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
  5.  Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
  6. Lean manufacturing Knowledge.

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • Total experience required   9 to 12 years
  • Industrial background with 8 to 9 years experiences preferably in the railway industry
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language & Hindi.
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
