Could you be the full-time Locomotive Shunter in [LOCATION] we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your locomotive shunting expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of locomotives within the depot. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as operations and maintenance teams), perform shunting operations safely and efficiently, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of placing and removing locomotives on the under-floor wheel lathe machine for wheel re-profiling, as well as maneuvering locomotives through the wash plant for washing, but also conducting proper checks before handing over or taking over locomotives.
We’ll look to you for:

Safe and efficient movement of locomotives within the depot

Performing shunting operations safely and efficiently
-
Placement and removal of locomotives on the under-floor wheel lathe machine
-
Maneuvering locomotives through the wash plant for cleaning
-
Carrying out handing and taking over of locomotives with mainline drivers
-
Maintaining proper records and reporting any abnormalities in the locomotives
-
Respecting EHS rules and following work-related processes
-
Minimizing locomotive detention due to operational movement

ITI/Diploma in any field from a recognized university (Regular Course)

5 years’ experience in Indian Railways as Electric Shunter/Electric Loco Pilot

Knowledge of points and crossing operations, OHE isolation, and shunting locomotives using a shunter vehicle
-
Proficiency in communication skills (both written and verbal)
-
Proficiency in English and Hindi languages
-
Familiarity with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Flexible and adaptable; able to embrace new ideas
-
Conscientious and able to meet proposed deadlines

Team player who supports and collaborates with team members
