OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- The Industrial Manager is responsible to industrialize the maintenance activities, Auxiliary work shops, Overhaul at the Depot, in order to secure the maintenance deliverables.
- Define Layouts & Foot print
- Select the right Equipments as per process requirements
- Maintain the IMFU for the process activities
- Define & implement the needs of maintenance activities all 4 m’s
- Lead new project with team for Industrialization (Including brown field & Green field projects)
- Lead Make or buy strategies with ILS and engineering team with implementation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the consistency of all Industrialization function for 1 project (Tooling, Industrial data, Industrialization & Methods)
- Manage commitment for industrial documents (i.e. work instructions, task sequences…) for maintenance, Renovation & Modernization.
- Identify the needs in terms of Safety, EHS, special processes, Q alerts, etc. in production operations.
- Manage team in charge of equipment, jigs & tools.
- Give technical support to operations.
- Manage industrial data team for MMIS (SAP industrial data set up, parts, tools, BOM, routings…)
- Manage Industrial & retrofit team.
- Lead the industrialization activities , respecting the standard service & manufacturing process &, footprint
- Simulate & design the tools, jigs and fixtures in Catia, also update the layout on requirement.
- Elaborate, define, create & stabilize the required industrial deliverables: macro-process, work instructions, implantation of the workstations, bill of material, task sequence and/or standard operations sheet, work instructions, method times, definitive layouts.
- Provide inputs to industrial means and tools requirements for project execution activities
- Implement the project make or buy strategy in all deliverables
- Define and implement the training plan related to industrial topics and to special processes
- Validate on the field the industrial deliverables, tools and industrial means with maintenance execution in Auxiliary workshops ( Bogie ,Traction motor, Battery ,pantograph..etc and upcoming) and the new industrialization activities
- Define, track & follow the industrial planning milestones of IMFU
- Ensure consistency of all industrialization function (tooling, industrial data, industrialization & methods)
- Understand and support the implementation of Apsys subjects related to industrial roadmap
- Ensure railway safety and EHS, AZDP standards are respected
- Orient & validate the design while taking into account the industrial constraints of the maintenance including online & offline activities in concurrent engineering with the design team.
- Set up industrial process improvement related to industrial efficiency, quality, safety, ergonomics, EHS, continuous improvement
- Adapt the industrial process and deliverables to project life cycle events such as design changes, obsolescence, maintenance plan optimization, fleet extension, changes in operating modes ...).
- Contribute to the control change board review, where appropriate, to reduce non quality or improve safety, performance of operations.
- Develop industrial expertise in their scope, according to method, processes and tools, capitalize and manage rex to improve and share industrial standards.
- Analyze the tooling requested and propose the adequate solution.
- Elaborate the specification & requirements for the industrial means and tools necessary to implement the execution activities, relating to infrastructure, tools and capex ( battery limits definition)
- Design tools or the make it sub-contracted.
- Send documented purchase request, participate to RFQ analysis, and contribute to the business award with sourcing.
- Validate the design through design reviews, involving above actors.
- Validate the operations tooling
- Ensure tools are available to perform the activities "on time" in a safe environment
- Maintain KPI & deliverables within target.
- Contribute in design reviews & root cause analysis.
- Contribute in change management , by defining clear impact
- Lead the process, retrofit & industrial data management team
- Define the objectives of Industrial team.
- Review the daily, weekly & monthly deliverable of the team.
- Deploy & ensure compliance with central standards : Lean tools, EHS (i.e. ergonomics), special processes, IT tools
- Give REX to industrial network (central & depots) to improve standards.
- KPI : Industrial dashboard consolidation & improvement/
- Productivity, workload optimization, NAV time reduction.
- Method time reduction.
- Avoid over maintenance.
- Share & implement best practices with industrial network.
- Give REX to platform in order to improve LCC cost.
- Manage action plan to achieve continuous improvement in SQCD
