OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Fleet Performance Engineer is responsible to perform the following : -

  • Management of all database related work for relevant warranty projects with respect to locomotive product failures and related management
  • Manage and Supply of relevant WI KPIs
  • Management of Risk and Oppertunity  focussing on QCD aspects
  • Data management for Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reporting as per Contractual Requirements.
  • Support Fleet and Warraty management for all notice and reporting for Internal and External stakeholders.
  • Support 24hr Fleet Management, Fleet Planning and Fleet Coordination
  • Continuous coordination and Synchronisation with Warranty and Fleet team for data capturing and data management for Smooth Loco operation across Indian Railways
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Data management
  • Provide up-to-date data/ information on fleet status to internal and external customers
  • Timely Submission of all sorts of Reports and Notices to Internal and External Customers in alignment with all stakeholders
  • Coordination with Intra dept and inter dept for Loco In and Out Management and Align wih Customer for KPIs
  • Manage the day-to-day comunications with all Customer regarding service provision of the Locomotives
  • Communicate fleet availability/performance to all areas of the Business & Customer
  • Monitor Product performance and track data for providing reports
  • Active Participation in Planning
     
  • Operation
  • Liaise with the Internal Stakeholders on all failure related technical matters to ensure that any special/urgent requirements have been considered and agree the long-term plan.
  • Provide inputs to Intra Dept and teams as and when required
  • Implement, configure and adapt RailSysLight or other validated database to relevant WI projects
  • Link WI database to other relevant databases for operational purposes
  • Feed database during warranty project with relevant data
  • Improve data capture in close cooperation with depot team
  • Provide support to other database users if being key user RailSysLight
  • Participate in Return of Experience for RSL applications
  • Support Reliability Growth actions in cooperation with RAMS and Quality
  • Capture data and elaborate WI KPI for depot and WI organisation and T&C if relevant
  • Respect the application of EHS rules and WI processes

  • Manage all related KPIs (internal and external) in alignment with Customer
  • Minimize service disruption and manage the service delivery in accordance with Contractual QCD requirements.
  • Readiness of RailSysLight or other validated database at warranty start

    Qualifications & Skills:
     
    EDUCATION
  • B Tech in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent
  • IT skills – High level of compétency  in Personal Computer, including office packages, specifically MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
  • High level of MS power point and MS Excel skill is a must with all advance fitures like ‘functions’, ‘slicers’, etc for data handling

  • Strong data management and analytical capability
  • Atleast 3/4 years of experience associated with Indian Railways or in Metro Corporations in the domain of Train/Locomotive /Metro Fleet coordination/Operation/ Customer Coordination/Troubleshooting/PRT Management/Helpline Management
  • IT skills – High level of compétency  in Personal Computer, including office packages, specifically MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Access,
  • Knowledge of quality and safety systems
  • A general knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Experience of working in a Service Site or Production environment.
