OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Fleet Coordinator/Planner is responsible to perform the following : -

  • 24hr Fleet Management, Fleet Planning and Fleet Coordination
  • ensuring all customer related, safety and reliability issues are delivered and agreed within the restrictions of the available resource and facility –
  • Coordinate Loco Handover From Customer to Depot and Vice Versa
  • Manage proper reporting and notice submission to Customer in time
  • Continuous coordination and Synchronisation with Customer for Smooth Loco operation across Indian Railways
  • Continuous coordination with IR Customer for Loco Movement for PM/CM and PRT attentions

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer relation
  • Provide up-to-date data/ information on fleet status to internal and external customers
  • Ensure real time customer support and forward facing defects are efficiently managed.
  • Timely Submission of Reports and Notices to Customer in alignment with Internal Stakeholders
  • Alignment with all TLCs/IR for loco management and better usage of locomotives
  • Coordination for Loco In and Out Management and Align wih Customer for KPIs
  • Continuous coordination with IR Customer for Loco Movement for PM/CM and PRT attentions.
  • Define & Implement project fleet strategy to fit with contractual requirements and Business Needs
  • Manage the day-to-day contacts with Customer regarding service provision of the Locomotives
  • Interface with customers. Interacts strongly with other internal departments to ensure SQCD of the fleet.
  • Support exceptional schedule changes in line with Commercial & Customer requirements
  • Communicate fleet availability/performance to all areas of the Business & Customer
  • Active Participation in Planning

 

  • Operation
  • Timely calling of Locos for Schedule maintenance activities at Depot in accordance with requirements to maintain a consistently high fleet availability to meet contractual requirements.
  • Ensure sufficient time allocation in the loco planning for preventive maintenances and repairs after considering Depot capacity.
  • Prioritise work at the Depot to meet train availability requirements and alignment with Customer accordingly.
  • React to train failures and infrastructure related issues in conjunction with the Operator to minimise impact on the Production plan.
  • Liaise with the Internal Stakeholders on all planning matters to ensure that any special/urgent requirements have been considered and agree the long-term plan.
  • Provide inputs to Train movement team
  • Continuous coordination with IR Customer for Loco Movement for timely PM/CM and PRT attentions

 

  • Performance & Efficiency
  • Timely submission of all Reports and Notices
  • Manage all related KPIs (internal and external) in alignment with Customer
  • Minimize service disruption and manage the service delivery in accordance with Contractual QCD requirements.
  • Set, monitor and control planned maintenance including outstanding defects, reliability and safety checks
  • Liaison Loco in and Loco out with Customer
  • Continuous coordination with IR Customer for Loco Movement for PM/CM and PRT attentions

  • Promote continuous improvement ways of working within the fleet team, ensuring robust processes are in place.

  • Compliance to all relevant procedures and to report and recommend any potential improvements

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

  • Diploma or B Tech in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent
  • Very good  working knowledge in MS Word and Excel

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

  • Very Good communication, report writing and organisational skills
  • IT skills – competent user of Personal Computer, including office packages, SAP, Planning tools as MS Project, PMS...
  • Flexible working hours
  • Very good  working knowledge in MR Word and Excel

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

  • Planning experience in a Indian Railways maintenance environment
  • Relevant administrative qualifications and complete understanding of IR operation and IR organisation 

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • Atleast 4/5 years of experience associated with Indian Railways/Metro in the domain of Train/Locomotive / Fleet coordination/Operation/ Customer Coordination/Troubleshooting/PRT Management/Helpline Management
  • Knowledge of quality and safety systems
  • A general knowledge of Indian rail vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Experience of working in a Service Site or Production environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of our customers.
  • Languages : Country language
