OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Electronic Repair Expert Is responsable for technical Operations in repair center for both products repairs and test banches sustaining.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Team Management

 

Position in the Organisation Reports To:

Head of operation in repair center Logistic, Project Management (BGL Supplier)

 

 

• Perform Product failure expertise, analyze test reports to diagnose the root cause and define the correct repair activity accordingly.

• Defines repair choices to restore integrity of the product in full respect of quality, cost and delivery targets of the repair unit

• Perform maintenance level one on test benches and organize repair center.

• Key user* about all test means (AGATE & TCMS) interfaced with Test experts from India Engineering Center & Donor unit (VBN)

• Contribute to build robust database to ensure Team’s success:

• Gather historical repairs on each product and average repair times

• Share Technical REX with other Team members

• Drive Change Management Process for Electronic Product – corrections, corrective actions, preventive actions

• Interface with cross-functional team to drive the closure of all issues linked with electronic products.

• Able to propose the improvement for test bench and test strategy for faster / smarter debugging &    RCA

• Drive effective RCA / 8D process for all the field issues.

• Key User: referent of the workshop for any test bench subject.

EHS

  • Responsible for Leading team members to uphold site safety, including reporting of any unsafe acts, process/procedure deviation

 

Performance

  • Provide real time updates to the Opeartions Head on work progress against the agreed plan
  • Ensure that all worksheets are correctly provided to the required standard
  • Ensure that the team follow the standard processes and conform to those standards on the job.
  • Ensure all documentation and procedures are at the correct revision and signed off in full when completed.

             

Team Communication

  • Conduct regular informal discussions with team members.
  • Provide regular feedback on team / individual performance.
  • Be proactive in seeking views and input from team members.

 

Team Continuous Improvement

 

Team Development 

  • Ensure all team members have skills including Special Process training needed to perform and deliver against the work plan.
  • Conduct regular review of skills matrix for team members.
  • Identify individual training needs and report to Operations Head

EDUCATION

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  •  Manage Problem solving analysis with resilience and structure
  •  Able to work with minimal supervision
  •  Respects rigorously design safety rules for repair
  •  good communication skills, able to tackle various issues in parallel and/or under emergency

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

  • Knowledge of technical test architecture (PXI, instrumentations, GPIB, Ethernet)
  • Knowledge of industrial tests (ICT, Hi-Pot)
  • Masters electronic test benches architecture to be able to understand test report results
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Windows & Office environment, ,)
  • The following could be acquired during training:
  • Knows and understands the specificities AGATE & TCMS products
  • Knows and understands the specificities of VBN test benches

 

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

Required Experience:

  • Engineer Electrical / Electronic
  • Certification IPC 7711/7721 or IPC A 610
  • At least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing and Test Industrialization (Electrical) Engineering with experience in electronic factory
  • Familiarity with the Train Control system equipment and all relative industrial and manufacturing processes (Assembly and Testing)
  • Experience of ERP and Manufacturing supervision tools
  • Experience of Test environment (TestStand / Gemini / Derby)
  • Experience of electric/electronic ESD and safety rules 

 

  • Language Skills: Fluent English (written and spoken), French is a plus
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
