Could you be the full-time onsite Electrical Harness Integration Engineer in Sahagun, HID, MX we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new groundbreaking field. You’ll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and dedicated teammates.
You'll ensure the integrity and functionality of our electrical systems by guaranteeing the harnesses design and their routing integration across various products such as traction systems, electrical cubicles, power modules, and switchgears. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Design, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing), uphold design rules and product feasibility in compliance with industry norms, and enforce the Alstom development process (DFQ), and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Guaranteeing the harnesses design and routing integration within different products by adhering to design rules, product feasibility, and industry norms. ,

  • Ensuring that all electrical harness designs meet Alstom's meticulous standards and specifications. ,

  • Following the Alstom development process (Design for Quality - DFQ) meticulously. ,

  • Realizing project deliverables while respecting Alstom’s QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) standards. ,

  • Integrating linked métier requirements such as Advanced Industrialization, Harness design, EMC, and Maintainability. ,

  • Managing activities by creating and adhering to retro planning of projects. ,

  • Building the 3D model (routing) of harnesses alongside mechanical designers, manufacturing engineers, and S&A designers. ,

  • Participating in harness design deliverable reviews. ,

  • Taking responsibility for detailed electrical harness design work, including BoM kits, formboards, BoM in ERP & DMA, wiring lists, Plug Maps, instruction sheets, jig & tools lists, etc. ,

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Design, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing to uphold design integrity and functionality."

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering. ,

  • Proven track record in a similar role. ,

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in CATIA V5 or SolidWorks. ,

  • Strong teamwork skills. ,

  • Attention to detail and deadlines. ,

  • Proficiency in responding adeptly to changes in project direction and priorities within a fast-paced environment. ,

  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. ,

  • Familiarity with harness design and routing integration processes. ,

  • Knowledge of industry norms and standards related to electrical systems. ,

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines, including mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, and maintainability.
