ELECTRICAL SCHEMATIC & APPARATUS

LEAD ENGINEER 

 

Part of the Electrical Engineering team, reporting to the train electrical engineer of the project, you manage functionally the Schematic and Apparatus team for our Metro, Tramway, Regional Trains international tenders and projects.  

What are my responsibilities?

You are responsible for the set of deliverables of the Schematic & Apparatus team on Quality, Costs and deadlines on our rollingstock projects and tenders:

  • Design of principle and electrical schemes
  • Definition of elements / apparatus : circuit breaker, diode, resistance, contactor, terminal track…
  • Definition of electrical architectures on whole of train with mechanical team of electrical integration
  • Design of electrical synoptics associated to architectures
  • Electrical calculation (circuit breaker rating and cables sizing)
  • Specifications of buttons / switches

You contribute to the train development and validation, in connection with the different stakeholders of each project: System, Control, Mechanical design, Validation department.

You are accountable to our compliance to railway electrical standards and our good practices.

You actively involved in the continuous improvement and return of experience.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Graduated with a Master’s in Engineering or equivalent, with a specialization in Electrical and Electro technical Engineering

+ 4 years minimum experience of conception / design / electrical system installation with electrical harness industrialization / manufacturing expertise acquired in industry or transport (knowledge of railway is ideal)

You have a solid experience in project management, including reporting and agility in managing of cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication skills in French and English are requested, as you will be evolving constantly in an international and multicultural environment.
