Purpose of the Job

The Regional Business Process Owner (RBPO) is the SAP Ariba Buying métier referee for the region in charge.

The RBPO deploy, stabilize, survey and support in his region and métier, the SAP Ariba Buying standard processes designed by the central team (BPO).

The RBPO animates and develops the Champions/Key User network within his region to secure the business transformation

Position in the organization

Part of global Procurement organization, the FRANCE & HQ Regional Business Process Owner belongs to the “Global Shared Service , Digital Transformation and Efficiency” department, in the team dedicated to SAP Ariba program and Digital transformation. He hierarchically reports to the SAP Ariba Core BPO organization.

Network & Links

  • with Core team (BPO, IS Referees) due to the expertise on métier & IS tool, solution upgrade, performances follow-up (Control tower...), documentation in local language
  • with KU/Champions as operational actors of the SAP Ariba processes on their respective sites
  • with the other BPO stream (ERP, Supply Chain, Finance, ... ) in the team to ensure the consistency of the interlinked processes and tools stream wise.
  • with the SAP Ariba project team (Business, IS&T, Providers, BPO) for deployment
  • with the SAP Ariba Run team (IS&T,Providers, BPO) for continuous improvement and transformation concern

Mission and Responsibilities

Project deployment

  • The RBPO submit the gap analysis to Global BPO before new IS implementations
  • The RBPO and the BPO validate the solution proposed by program and support its implementation.
  • During implementations RBPO helps sites for developing training sessions (as defined by Program), coaching KU/Champions & Roll-outs.
  • In case of site-specific process, the RBPO can propose workarounds aligned with RBPEs from other stream and Central corresponding BPOs.

System and process sustainability

  • The Regional Business Process Owners is the first entry points for KU/Champions & department heads concerning the processes related to their métier in the related Region
  • The Regional Business Process Owner creates, sustain & develop Key Users / Champions networks
  • He (she) communicates and ensures the process model is applied in his Region
  • The Regional Business Process Owner ensures sites alignment on targeted processes (Indirect P2P), through extractions, consolidated indicators coming from sites (effectiveness metrics) in order to share and build their appropriate action plan.
  • The Regional Business Process Owner assesses the KU/Champions competencies for skill matrix & development management of the KU/Champions
  • The Regional Business Process Owner validates training guides for the Region
  • According to users’ needs not covered by the solution or not efficient, the Regional Business Process Owner could suggest process upgrades to Core BPO coming from his expertise.
  • He captures the benefits and the added value expected from SAP Ariba on his perimeter

Measurement

  • Regular update of the KPls and the process maturity matrix
  • Follow up and closing the action plan
  • Appreciation from site management for SAP Ariba Buying usage
  • Quick response to process issues from the sites
  • Providing solutions within SAP Ariba Buying for localized processes.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bac+5 from Information System or Business School (speciality in Procurement or IS)
  • Minimum 5 years experienced person, with a sound knowledge and experience in Procurement activity Minimum 2 years' experience in deep usage of Procurement solution such as
  • SAP Ariba / Ivalua / Coopa /…
  • Synertrade
  • eProcurement platform (Market place, Catalog, contract,…)

Ideally, fundamental understanding of the below topics :

  • Procurement
  • Project management
  • MM module in GSI

  • Capacity to train Key-Users / Champion and follow their technical skill.
  • Operational leadership to be the voice of the Processes Métier in his Region
