Purpose of the Job

On his perimeter, the Digital and eProcurement Business Process Owner :

  • Defines the strategy, the governance and business objectives for digital transformation of the procurement function
  • Ensure project execution and deployment in line with QCDT objectives and with the global digital transformation roadmap
  • Monitor and improve the management process around digital procurement solutions in scope ( Usages, adoptions, Issues & Bugs, Customer Satisfaction and Return on Investments at least)
  • Deliver to contribute to the procurement efficiency and process improvement with measurable benefits


Key Accountabilities

On his scope (Process, Tools, Adoption, ...), the Digital and eProcurement Business Process Owner (BPO):

  • Has an end to end vision of the IS&T demand management process and Procurement information systems landscape
  • Manage the end to end process from business requirement, project management and running activities as a product owner in charge of eProcurement solutions
  • Develop & promote in the organization a dedicated 3-year roadmap in line with the top management  delivery plan and métier beneficial needs
  • Develop community digital awareness and maturity through proper knowledge management for Procurement community
  • Be accountable for processes application and tools usage


Especially for eProcurement : the BPO is accountable of KPIs availability and management within the entire procurement organization. It includes Target setting, performance monitoring, regular (Board, Steering Committee, …) and on-demand (Delivery Plan, CFO or CPO request,…) KPIs production and analysis, specific governance and escalation animation, …


In charge of deployment and knowledge management for his domain, the Digital and eProcurement Business Process Owner:

  • Creates, sustain & develop his operational network
  • Creates, defines and validates the training and maturity development program
  • Contributes to internal audit referential (APSYS/SMARt) improvement in providing feedback to experts and auditors.
  • Is strongly connected with Procurement Continuous Improvement manager that support local deployment and REX from Alstom industrial sites


The Digital and eProcurement BPO is the main counterpart for IS&T team for his scope of solutions. Accordingly, he :

  • is accountable of the existing IT solution performances in the domain
  • supports new enhancement of information system implementation in the domain of competency
  • explains the functional needs and convert it into business specification for change request
  • evaluates the improvements and benefits coming from to adapt the standard the domain of competency


Focus on the scope

eProcurement systems : As a subject matter expert for indirect procurement and business process owner for eProcurement, objective is to ensure compliance, business continuity and process consistency in operating systems. It includes:

  • To contribute to catalog deployment in collaboration with the procurement content BPO
  • To define and deploy testing strategy, involving also support team, Key Users and buyers when required before Go live of new catalog
  • To maintain and deploy trainings/documentation as per deployment roadmap
  • To manage the roadmap of evolutions around the tool taking into account the “exit strategy” with SAP Ariba
  • To maintain and secure data reliability in different systems managing or deploying the relevant process ( UNSPSC codes, accounting data, approval workflows, etc…)


Automation & Transverse collaboration projects  : As the key point of contact for eProcurement and digital transformation, BPO leads transverse projects using digital platforms such as Virtual assistants/Chatbots, Electronic signature platforms, Global Search platform, MS and O365 platforms, …

Our ideal candidate needs to demonstrate the following  skillls, experience and attributes :

  • 5-7  years of experience in large service or manufacturing industry or consultancy firm
  • Experienced project manager in implementation/transformation program, involving multicultural teams
  • Strong knowledge of Sourcing/procurement métier and stakes
  • Strong business acumen and market knowledge around digital transformation/New technologies (AI, RPA, Chatbots,…)
  • Agile with basic information systems for procurement (Supplier Portals, SAP ECC, SAP ARIBA, Adobe sign, DocuSign, or other similar solution)
  • Fluent English & International mindset
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analytics and Business Intelligence concept
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (including editorial)
  • Capacity to transmit, train, coach and develop people
  • Focused on continuous improvement & efficiency with business benefits and customer satisfaction
