Purpose of the job:

Within D&IS, in charge for the Main Line Control centers segment of :

  • Ensuring the completeness of the reference library and its continuous monitoring versus QCD objectives
  • Managing competitiveness plans on the platform’s products, reference libraries and reference solutions : driving during product development , implementation during tender preparation, monitoring during project execution
  • Support pre-tendering / tendering activities and start of projects with reference libraries
  • Collecting ROE on relevant Projects
  • Coordinating and supporting TMS Bid technical management activities

Ensuring that Bid technical management in the units are aligned with TMS product & offering strategy, and apply the proper reference libraries

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Competitiveness on Ref Lib
  • Support the Product/or Solution manager in building, driving and permanently challenging the Reference Library on QCD aspects : allocate and follow the cost target achievement per contributor, update the Ref Lib with cost improvement confirmed
  • Coordinate, on behalf of the Product/or Solution manager, competitiveness action plans with all métiers : build and present business cases of new competitiveness actions
  • Support the Product /or Solution manager on demand for any costing activity (including quick costing at pre-tendering phase …)
  • Prepare and present Ref Lib reviews (with Competitiveness Director and Ref Lib manager), according to the standards and the calendar defined

 

 

  • Competitiveness on Tenders and Projects
  • Support the Segment at pre tendering and tendering stage in assessing on demand quick costing, target costs , target allocation to stakeholders (“top down” approach) using Ref Lib costing data
  • Hold reviews with bid cost managers to check QCD offering is aligned with Ref Lib
  • Monitor the gaps between Ref Lib and Tender solution, and propose new competitiveness action plan to reach the target cost
  • Support to Projects on cost analysis, competitiveness action plan (task force, assessment, Design to cost activities…)
  • Return of experience
  • Participate to analysis/benchmark of competition offering with Platform Marketing and segment Portfolio director
  • In coordination with the Platform members, ensure that the ROE of projects is integrated into the Ref Lib (cost, planning, etc) and reorient action plan if needed

 

  • Bid technical management coordination
  • Deliver or coordination bid technical management activities
  • Ensure that TMS bid technical management delivers accordingly to the tender process requirements

 

Performance measurements:  

  • Progress of Competitiveness action plan : volume/number of competitiveness actions proposed, progress of actions
  • Cost monitoring of Ref Libs, and delivery on time
  • Quality of Reference Library presentation

 

Competencies & Skills  

  • Technical :
  • Project Management and / or Industry background
  • Ability to recognize product and associated costs, and understand operational flows (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, etc)
  • Understanding of basic enterprise internal processes: Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Quality and their interfaces…
  • Sufficient awareness of financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees, …)
  • Good communication skill (presentations, synthesis, relationship with contributors ...)
  • Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent in English: spoken and written
