Could you be the Maintenance Techncian in Rouse Hill we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field in our Services business. We have a position on offer for an electrical technician on a 12-months contract with a view to permanent basis. You’ll work alongside ambitious, driven and team-spirited teammates on the Sydney Metro North West Project. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the completion of maintenance inspections/visits for both preventative and corrective maintenance on the maintenance facility which is home to the first driverless metro train in Australia.
We’ll look to you for:
- Carrying out preventative maintenance programmes on the Depot infrastructure repairs/maintenance (e.g., trouble shooting, duty checks, inspections, component changes and overhaul of various machines)
- Investigating faults on Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and other components
- Refurbishment and modification of equipment including the replacement and upgrading of components and systems
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and taking part in a ‘first response situation’
- Assisting in the preparation of Safe Systems of Work, Rule Changes and Risk Assessments
- Participating in integrated teams when performing electro-mechanical equipment changes on depot equipment, involving multi-skilling
All about you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have
- Certificate III in Engineering (Electrical)
- Trade qualifications Licenced Electrician or similar
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in technical functions
- Railway industry experience is preferred
- Troubleshooting experience desired
