Your role

As a System Engineer you are responsible for the Signalling System architecture definition and adaptation of the signalling solution. You will take care of both wayside and indoor equipment selection, including external interfaces integration.

A System Engineer analyses and manages customer requirements, ensuring they meet acceptable standards. He works closely with the Project Engineer during project lifecycle providing technical guidance for system definition, realization and maintenance. He also supports technical solution definition for incoming bids.

 

Your Challenges: 

  • Definition of System and Sub-system Architectures (SAD) according to the Signalling Technical inputs and in relation to the customer requirements compliance (including all the interfaces)
  • Customer Signalling technical requirements analysis and requirement management (e.g. using specific tool as DOORS)
  • Signalling Subsystem design, including Use cases and Operation modes
  • Supervise the development (or adaptation) of new products release
  • Provide support for Operational scenarios definition

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering (BS+MS) degree in Electronics, Electric or IT
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Signalling System with a focus on wayside signalling in Computer Based Interlocking and/or ETCS L1 - L2.
  • HW and SW knowledge are required with at least 5 years in the (signalling) railway area regarding both wayside and signalling room products.
  • The knowledge of the following norms is required: EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129 and EN 50159
  • The basic knowledge CENELEC norms is required.
  • Be familiar with Quality and Product certification processes (e.g. IRIS, ISO 9001, IPC, ...)
  • Knowledge in the use of laboratory instrumentation and test methods
