Join us as a Project Material Manager and you will be looking at a career defining role based in Rome

12-month Fixed Term contract


Job scope:
He/She has to ensure that key industrial constraints and processes are applied during production, that keyplanning information (lead time, stock levels, customer delivery planning, …) is known, managed andcommunicated, that project material is ordered effi ciently and delivered on time to achieve project milestones.

  • To define action plan to reduce delivery risk (lead time, obsolescence, stock levels for internal andexternal warehouses) and to validate specifi c procurement anticipations
  • To assure a proper material delivery follow-up of the assigned products, securing material fl ow fromsuppliers, internal/external warehouses, fi nal customer destination in term of procurement and logistics
  • To manage materials/components procurement plan taking care both the target of stock reduction andthe service level to customer
  • Support to the defi nition of industrial scheme and related
  • make or buy
  • strategy with Industrialization andSourcing department
  • Interface with Procurement / Material Planning to schedule Purchase Order
  • Interface with Logistics to schedule shipping
  • Supervision of material procurement, products manufacturing and testing, logistic & shipment



  • Activate needs in ERP tool
  • Validate purchase request for “BUY product” and release work order for “MAKE product”
  • Interface with manufacturing team to set MPS at least monthly and to attend weekly meeting for theMFG follow-up status
  • Material variance analysis
  • Material movement management between sites and warehouses



  • ERP and project material data accuracy
  • Defi nition and management of material procurement and delivery plan
  • On time material deliveries to the project
  • Inventory level and coverage

Organisational Reporting: The job holder will report directly to the Industrial Planning Manager

  • External: Project Material Manager


Educational Requirements

  • Educated to University Degree level in Engineering
  • English speaking


Experience: At least of 3 year experience in similar position or in Project Planning roles.
