Mission
Pilots the technical aspects of the Tender (May continue as Project Engineering manager in case of project award to Alstom)
Specifies and validates, with his team, the Transport System Solution, and controls the technical consistency through a strong interfaces Management and quality, cost and delay (QCD) approach.

Based in Rome (via Nomentana) the candidate shall manage technically the design ad build of a tram line in a old town in Italy coordinating  the track, Power Supply, Substations, signalling and communication technologies and interfacing externally with the civil works companies and city organization. 

Project Engineering Manager responsibilities include:
- Propose the Engineering Scope of Work to the Project or Tender Manager; define the WorkPackages for the Systems Engineering team and for the participating Operations Products lines (first level), produce them with his team for Systems Engineering
- Manage technical relationship with the Consortium and the client
- Develop system acceptance criteria & processes, and have them agreed upon by Customer
- Choose the hypotheses for performance calculations and validate the results
- Validate the system Specifications and the interfaces specifications
- Control, with the support of the Design Control Manager, the System configuration
- Manage Design Changes related to the transport system definition throughout the project cycl
- Follow the Preliminary and Final Designs progress
- In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, manages the integration and validation activities
- Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering  Project / Tender team
- Implement the Methods and Engineering tools as per agreed recommendations
- Issue the technical risks assessment & mitigation
- Implement & Control the requirement capture
- Ensure the carry-over from previous projects and current R&Ds

Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems
At least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions including at least 3 years in managerial positions in international projects

Fluent in English and Italian languages
